What this course is
Where Azure networks stop being a single VNet.
AZ-700 is Microsoft's Azure Network Engineer Associate credential. It validates that you can design, implement and operate enterprise Azure networking — hybrid connectivity, hub-and-spoke, Virtual WAN, private connectivity and load balancing.
At Nexperts, AZ-700 is delivered on a real multi-region Azure sandbox. By day 4 you've stood up a hub-and-spoke topology with NVA insertion, deployed ExpressRoute (with simulated MSEE), built a Virtual WAN with secured hubs, and load-balanced a multi-tier app with App Gateway + Front Door.
AZ-700 is the cert that filters Azure networkers from people who 'have created a VNet'. The exam puts you in front of multi-region topologies and asks you to debug them.
The 2026 AZ-700 update sharpened the focus on Virtual WAN secured hubs, Private Link Service, Azure Route Server with NVAs and the new VNet manager. We cover all four with hands-on labs.
Who should take this course
🌐
Network engineers
From on-prem networking. AZ-700 is the formal Azure-networking credential.
☁️
Azure cloud engineers
Designing networks as part of broader workloads. AZ-700 sharpens the depth.
👨💻
Solutions architects
Designing Azure-hosted workloads at depth. AZ-700 is the network track.
🌟
AZ-104 holders
Natural progression. Add senior networking depth to administrator base.
💼
Hybrid IT engineers
Owning the bridge between on-prem and Azure. AZ-700 is the formal credential.
🔐
Network security engineers
Operating Azure Firewall + NVAs. AZ-700 + AZ-500 is the senior combo.
✓ Comfortable with the Azure portal, Azure CLI and PowerShell
✓ Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP and routing
→ No CCNA / Network+? Ask about our networking primer before AZ-700 starts.
Course Curriculum
Five domains. One Azure networking toolkit.
AZ-700 is structured into Core Networking, Hybrid Connectivity, Routing & Load Balancing, Network Security, and Private Access to Azure Services. We deliver in topology-build order.
Hands-On Azure Network Sandbox
9 builds. Real multi-region Azure.
Every learner gets a multi-region Azure sandbox with simulated on-prem (via VPN gateway). By day 4 you've operated a real hybrid network and debugged it.
01
Hub-and-Spoke Topology
Build a 3-region hub-and-spoke with VNet peering and shared services hub.
Topology
02
Virtual WAN Build
Stand up a Virtual WAN with secured hub + 2 branch sites + ExpressRoute simulation.
Hybrid
03
NVA Insertion
Insert an NVA via Azure Route Server with active-active HA and BGP.
Routing
04
App Gateway WAF
Front a multi-tier app with App Gateway WAFv2 + custom rules.
WAF
05
Front Door Build
Front a global app with Azure Front Door Premium with WAF + caching policies.
Edge
06
Private Endpoints Sprint
Wire Private Endpoints across 6 PaaS services with private DNS resolution.
Private
07
DDoS Drill
Configure DDoS Protection on a public IP. Tune mitigation policies.
DDoS
08
Hybrid DNS
Build hybrid DNS with Azure Private Resolver across on-prem + Azure.
DNS
09
Network Watcher Forensics
Use Network Watcher to debug a connectivity outage scenario in 30 minutes.
Debug
+ 12 micro-tasks across Azure CLI, PowerShell, BGP and route table validation.
Exam Information
One scenario exam. Topology drawings included.
AZ-700 is 40–60 questions over 100 minutes. The exam includes topology diagrams — you read multi-region designs and pick the right routing or connectivity decision. Most candidates fail on routing scenarios.

Pass Rate
91% of our AZ-700 candidates pass on first attempt.
The Microsoft global first-attempt rate for AZ-700 sits around 67%. We hit 91% by spending 60% of class time tracing packets across multi-region topologies on a real sandbox.
Multi-region sandboxRouting drill91% first attemptFree retake voucherHybrid topology playbook
Why our pass rate is 91%
Industry average: ~67%
Most candidates know the services individually but freeze on multi-region routing. They cannot trace packets through UDR + Route Server + NVA + peering, and the exam knows.
Nexperts: 91%
We trace packets on the whiteboard. We build the topology on the sandbox. We gate booking on a clearance mock. By exam day, packet-tracing is reflex.
Your Azure Networking Path
AZ-700 pairs with AZ-500 and AZ-305.
AZ-700 stacks naturally with AZ-500 (Security) for the secure-network combo or AZ-305 (Architect) for full architecture breadth. Most senior cloud-network roles in MY require AZ-700 plus one.
Before this
AZ-104
Azure Administrator. Most AZ-700 candidates have AZ-104.
Expected salary range after AZ-700: RM 11,000 – RM 17,500/month for cloud network engineer roles in MY MNCs.
