ACE is Google Cloud's most-hired-for associate credential. It validates that you can deploy and manage applications on GCP at production quality — IAM, networking, storage, compute, GKE, monitoring and operations.
At Nexperts, ACE is delivered against a real GCP sandbox per learner. By day 4 you've shipped four working applications: a Compute Engine VM with managed instance group, a Cloud Run service, a GKE Autopilot deployment, and a multi-region storage workload with proper IAM.
ACE is the GCP cert that filters dabblers from operators. The exam is heavy on real-world scenarios — if you've never operated GCP, the exam will know.
The 2026 ACE update sharpened the focus on GKE Autopilot, Cloud Run jobs, Workload Identity Federation and the new IAM allow / deny policies. We cover all four with hands-on builds.
Who should take this course
⚙️
Cloud / sysadmin operators
Already running GCP workloads. ACE is the formal credential.
📊
DevOps engineers
Building pipelines that target GCP. ACE sharpens the operate-and-monitor side.
☁️
SRE / platform engineers
Owning GCP reliability outcomes. ACE gives the GCP-native operator's lens.
🌟
CDL holders
Natural progression. CDL gave breadth — ACE gives operational depth.
💼
IT generalists
Wearing the GCP hat. ACE raises competence and confidence.
🔄
Multi-cloud engineers
Coming from AWS / Azure operations. ACE is the bridge to GCP.
Prerequisites
✓ 1–2 years of GCP or general systems-administration experience
✓ Comfortable with the GCP console and gcloud CLI
✓ Familiarity with Linux and basic networking
✓ Working knowledge of containers (helpful, not required)
→ Don't have GCP experience? Ask about our CDL → ACE bundle.
Course Curriculum
Five domains. One operator's toolkit.
ACE is structured into Setting up cloud solution environment, Planning & configuring a cloud solution, Deploying & implementing a cloud solution, Ensuring successful operation, and Configuring access & security. We deliver in operator order.
Hands-On GCP Sandbox
9 builds. Real Google Cloud.
Every learner gets a Google Cloud sandbox project with credit. By day 4 you've shipped four real applications across Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE and Cloud Storage.
01
Project Bootstrap
Bootstrap a 3-environment project structure with proper folders and billing.
Setup
02
Compute MIG
Build an autoscaling managed instance group behind a global load balancer.
Compute
03
Cloud Run Deploy
Deploy a containerised Python service to Cloud Run with a custom domain.
Serverless
04
GKE Autopilot
Stand up a GKE Autopilot cluster. Deploy a 3-tier app with proper services and ingress.
K8s
05
IAM Refactor
Refactor 30 permissive primitive-role bindings into least-privilege custom roles.
IAM
06
VPC Design
Design a multi-region VPC with subnets, peering, Cloud NAT and Private Service Connect.
Networking
07
Cloud Storage Lifecycle
Build a lifecycle policy that tiers data Standard → Nearline → Archive over 365 days.
Storage
08
Operations Dashboard
Build a release-decision dashboard for a deployed service across freshness, latency and errors.
Observability
09
Cost Cleanup Sprint
Use Active Assist + Recommender to cut sandbox spend 30%+ in 90 minutes.
Cost
+ 14 micro-tasks across gcloud CLI, Cloud Shell and the GCP console.
Exam Information
One scenario-heavy exam. gcloud questions.
ACE is a 2-hour exam with 50–60 questions. The exam is dense with operational scenarios and 6–8 gcloud command-completion items. Most candidates fail on time pressure across operational scenarios.

Pass Rate
92% of our ACE candidates pass on first attempt.
The Google Cloud global first-attempt rate for ACE sits around 68%. We hit 92% by spending 60% of class time on a real GCP sandbox, drilling gcloud and gating booking on a clearance mock.

Why our pass rate is 92%
Industry average: ~68%
Most candidates revise services individually but never run gcloud under timer. The exam tests both — they freeze on snippet questions.
Nexperts: 92%
We type gcloud every day. We drill the 30 most-tested commands. We gate booking on a clearance mock. By exam day, gcloud is muscle memory.
Your GCP Path
ACE unlocks PCA, PDE, PCSE.
ACE stacks naturally with PCA (Professional Cloud Architect), PDE (Professional Data Engineer) or PCSE (Professional Cloud Security Engineer) within 9–12 months.
